Why I actually trained to be a hypnotherapist.
Having suffered from anxiety and stress issues, I know first hand the impact. Importantly, hypnotherapy really helped me. This sparked a real interest in how this therapy works. I experienced positive change, so I passionately believe it is possible, when you have the emotional tool kit and support.
So often we just dwell on the negatives, we wonder why we get more of the same back into our lives. By developing beneficial new habits and behaviours, things start to shift your perspective on life in a good way.
I am not superhuman, but I realise it’s necessary to prioritise my wellbeing, practise self-care skills; learn what makes me more content and implement more of that into my life. Making conscious decisions to do more of the things I like. Look to find the good stuff in my life, however small. This all means different things to different people but these changes brought about a happier me and they can you.
Don’t get me wrong, life will always have challenges, but when you feel more in control, you cope much better with what you have to cope/deal with and move forward quicker.
Talking of challenges, a major life event occurred very unexpectedly. A member of my family took their own life. My own life pivoted as a result and I decided to stop procrastinating and get qualified. It was a tragic situation, but I believed it could facilitate positive change for myself and others. I can tell you it most definitely has!
After doing much research, I decided to train in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, with the prestigious training school Clifton Practice CPHT. It was such a great decision and I have fully immersed myself in all things solution focused.
Random information alert!
My practice name actually came about by realising that it’s so very helpful to always look towards a solution, hence the name Solve Hypnotherapy evolved!
