Statement of Intent
This policy sets out how Solve Hypnotherapy use and protect the information that you provide when you use our services and our website. Furthermore, it is our intention to ensure that any data you provide is managed respectfully, kept secure and only used for the purposes for which it has been provided.
This policy will be updated from time to time in line with prevailing legislation, and we invite you to check this page periodically to ensure you are happy with any changes to it.
When you contact us via our website, phone or email we will collect your:

What we do with this information
We use this information in order to contact you to discuss your treatment and to book a course of therapy sessions if you wish to go ahead. In the Initial Consultation we will ask for your name, address, telephone and email contact details so that, if necessary, we may contact you during the time we are working together. We also ask questions about your age, occupation, education, health, medication and pastimes. These questions help us to get to know you better and tailor the therapy for your needs.
Protection Regulations which are effective from 25th May 2018
The GDPR includes the following rights for individuals:
- The right to be informed (which is why we have produced this policy).
- The right of access (if you wish to see your file then please make a request in writing to Rebecca Kitson. We will provide you with the information within 30 days of your request).
- The right to rectification (this is your right to request changes to any information we hold that is factually inaccurate. If you believe any of the information, we hold about you is incorrect then please let us know as soon as possible and we will make the appropriate changes.
- The right to erasure (given the nature of our work we are required to hold our details for a period of 8 years, after this your information will be securely destroyed.)
- The right to restrict processing (we will only use the information for the purposes that we have stated: most standards of confidentiality applied in professional contexts are based upon the Common Law concept of confidentiality where the duty to keep confidence is measured against the concept of “greater good”.
- The right to data portability: we will not share your information, other than in the situations described above, without your specific consent.
- The right to object (we will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you have given us specific agreement to do so)
- The right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling (we will not use your information for profiling purposes).
Webcam Sessions
Where sessions are conducted by Webcam, e.g., Skype, Facetime, the sessions are recorded only for as long as it takes to write up the notes not taken contemporaneously. Once notes have been documented, the recording is deleted.
Online Policy (website)
The Online Policy applies to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information shared and/or collected online. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
Contact Form
When you contact us via our website Contact Form, we will collect your name and email address. By using the Contact Form, you consent to us using this information for correspondence purposes, notably to discuss your interest in Hypnotherapy treatment and to book an appointment. To have your email deleted from our records, please contact us by email.
Blog Subscription Service
When you sign up to our Blog Subscription service, we will collect your email address. By using the Blog Subscription service, you consent to us using this information in order to send you by email our Blog Posts as and when they are published.
To unsubscribe and have your email deleted from this service, either click “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of a Blog Post email or contact us by email.
Testimonials
Subject to your prior consent, we may publish information you provide about treatment you received from us as a Testimonial on our website. Such information may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use (or misuse) of such information by others. To have your testimonial deleted from our website please contact us by email.

Like any other website, our website uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.

Log Files
Our website follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
